Tailoring therapy to You

It can be hard to resolve emotional difficulties on your own. Whatever you’re dealing with, it is not unusual to feel stuck and to fear burdening those around you if you talked to them. As a counsellor and psychotherapist in The Hague and online with 30 years of therapeutic experience, I work with you collaboratively to support your journey through life. At the core of this collaboration is the strong working relationship which I aim to form with you. Together we get to the root of what’s troubling you, helping you to understand the way you perceive yourself and your wider world and how this influences your interactions. Then we use different tools, which can help you shift from patterns that have long felt stuck. Much progress can be made if you are truly committed to working on yourself and take an active role in your process. The work we do together involves talking of course, but also different tools, and suggestions for you to take into your daily life.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy in The Hague and online in English and in French.

My approach

I am trained in Integrative psychotherapy, which means I bring together different approaches to therapy. I put the therapeutic relationship at the centre of our work together, and tailor my interventions to suit your specific needs, whatever they may be. For insomnia, I use CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioural therapy for insomnia). For other issues, I use talking therapy and EMDR as my main tools, along with other neuroscience, mindfulness and somatic-inspired approaches.

Session Information

Before our first session together, I offer a free, informal 20-minute chat to give you a chance to get a sense of who I am before deciding to go ahead with me. Sessions last 50 minutes. Should we decide that EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is the best way forward for you, sessions may take longer by agreement.

Please note that my practice is not covered by Dutch insurance but is covered by international insurance.


Along with offering therapy online over Zoom, my practice room in The Hague is within easy access of the Statenkwartier, Duinoord, Zeeheldenkwartier, and Scheveningen.
