If you have found your way here I imagine you are either experiencing difficulty and pain in your life; wanting to live with more contentment and fulfilment; or maybe wanting to explore and deepen your connection with yourself or your clients.
My name is Carolyn Tabak, and I am a UKCP and EAP registered psychotherapist based in The Hague. I offer online counselling, psychotherapy and supervision, providing you with a safe, confidential space in which to explore your experience, looking at your relationship with yourself, others, and the world. I specialise in helping people with insomnia, and am here to help you work through your difficulties and to develop tools that improve your ability to live well. I have been a therapist for nearly 30 years and continue to be in awe of how psychotherapy can help people heal and grow.
I also offer online supervision for psychotherapists, counsellors, and those who work in other helping professions such as complementary health practitioners, lawyers, doctors and more – offering a supportive environment in which to explore your work with your clients or patients. I work with clients in The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and across the Netherlands and Europe.

I offer clinical supervision from an integrative perspective, looking at your therapeutic work with clients through your relationship with them, the interventions you use and the wider context in which you both operate. I draw on different approaches to help you make sense of your work with your clients through the use of your own embodied experience. I work collaboratively with you to support you in your therapeutic work.

Online supervision sessions are designed to support you in your relationship with your clients and explore what helps and hinders it. This is a safe, supportive space for helping professionals to make sense of behaviours and feelings within themselves and patients/clients during the course of their work.

In my psychotherapy practice I specialise in helping people with insomnia, whether linked to menopause or other causes. Insomnia can exist as a stand alone condition, or be linked to other health factors, physical and mental. I primarily use CBT-i (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for insomnia), which is thought of as the gold standard treatment for insomnia, with a success rate of 70-80%.
